We welcome students and researchers at all levels, from high school through graduate (MSc or PhD) and postdoctoral (postdocs or visiting scientists), both within and outside UBC or Canada. Our research is interdisciplinary, so we also welcome students from the computing sciences, chemistry, physics, and engineering.

Applicants for Undergraduate Thesis, Directed Studies, and Intern/Volunteer Positions
At UBC, recruitment for undergraduate research students occurs in August-September for Winter Terms and in March-April for Summer Terms.
These research experiential engagements require about 5-10 hours per week, divided into 4-6 hours of continuous blocks to ensure substantial training and contribution to our lab activities.
